Keith,
If I were going to vote for best thread, I did enjoy the noise complaint one... It was high quality and not even with a K or anything (Kwality).
Thanks, Joe! :) I actually did end up writing a letter to my neighbor and the condo association, basically stating very politely that I am a considerate neighbor and that my neighbor is obviously very sensitive to noise. The conclusion to the whole annoying saga was a phone call to me from the building manager; he was instructed to call me by the condo association. He basically said that they wanted to let me know that I shouldn't worry about fines, and that basically they all kind of feel that my neighbor is oversensitive. Mission accomplished! (I do kind of wish I'd sent that original letter, though.)
For some reason, I missed this reply, but I am glad it was resolved. Although the likelihood of becoming a home (condo) owner doesn't seem too good right now, we were thinking about our place, which is a condo that we rent, and all of the different rules and such. We know that our dog can bark a bit, since he is kind of psycho sometimes, but we have not heard a complaint to this point (knock on wood). We were wondering if we were to move into another condo, if we would be so lucky.
Anyway, I hope you are enjoying condo life thus far...
