Reunion of Sorts

Well, if you had the opportunity to read my previous post to the homework post, you will know that I had a good reason for not writing in the last day or so.

Since tuesday, I have been working on a case study that would be presented today at the Maryland Student Affiars Case Study Competiton on Civic Responsibility. It was a fun conference and for all our trouble coming up with a practical solution to an issue involving hate crimes on a college campus, we actually won third prize! I was proud to walk away with 100 bucks!

In anycase, I did have my own Goucher reunion. in one session I met up with Gail Edmonds (who yelled at me for not participating more in the disucssion), at lunch I sat with Kelly Denton... and after it was announced that we won, Liz Nuss and Emily Perl each came over to congratulate me.

I should have realized that since I was going to a conferenc eon Civic Responsibility, I should expect to see them, but it was a surprise nonetheless.

On a side note, it is funny that nearly all the people I remember from Goucher who still work there (with the exception of Liz who is retired), would all end up meeting me at the same place.

Way to steal my thunder with a post that's actually about something. Who do you think you are.

I am Joe. Hear me Roar!

Haha! Well, congratulations, Joe. That's pretty cool! Guess your business paid off--literally. :) And Keith, if you want a subject to talk about that's about nothing, here's a topic: I don't like cherry flavor or vanilla yogurt, yet I like cherry vanilla yogurt. Talk amongst yourselves. Discuss.

Jess, I think that is very weird. Also, do you have an issue with double posts, or do you keep posting crude material that you think better of and remove? It's OK if you are crude, we are all friends here. :)

Don't play games with me, Joe! I know you're in on the Jess-deleting-comments-mystery too!

you've caught me. I can't control my crudness. actually, i noticed that keith removed a couple of posts too...i was wondering about that. :) really, i just keep spelling things wrong and erasing them... i know, likely story, right? :)

If you could edit comments, I wouldn't have any deleted ones. :) I just end up not liking the way I wrote something... there is a certain comment on another thread, though, that I might go back and delete in case any of the people described in it happen to one day read this site. :D

Jess- It's OK if you can't spell.

Keith- If you have to diliberate over whether you should keep a post up, it is probably OK. Remember, someone has to A- Find the blog B- find the reference to where they were described (in most cases not even mentioned by name) and C- then care enough to read it.

I think general, poorly spelled referenced to indivicuals should be enough to keep anonimity.

Man, that post just caused me actualy physical pain. :D Nice work.

You and Cat have any big V-Day plans?

ApexTek said...

Keith, was it my message, or the complete lack of spelling or grammar that caused the pain?

As for tonight, I actually have to work until 8 so I don't get to celebrate V-Day this evening. We did spend a nice evening together last night instead.

Good job.

Yeah, the physical pain was related to the presentation of your post, not the actual content.

Its all those Jean classes...they make material presentation seem like it should be the reverse of what it actually should be...wow...I think I've just made my case in point. :)
