Rudy's Bar and Grill

Went out drinking after checking out a friend's band near Times Square, and of course we had to go to Rudy's. Cheap beer ($4.00 for import bottles on 44th St.??) and FREE HOT DOGS... what more could you ask for? Vicky bemoaned the "tourist" contingent, but that sort of thing's unavoidable in that section of town. I was introduced to this place by The Worst Internet Date Ever (most of you have heard this story before), but have gone back many times despite its inauspicious introduction.

Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

You need to refresh my memory on the worst Internet date ever...

As for the "tourist" contingent, they may also be the hungry contingent if there are free hot dogs.

It didn't seem like that many people were getting hot dogs. They don't really advertise it, so people who aren't so observant (the hot dog cooker was sitting behind the bar) could easily miss out.

As for the worst internet date ever... the crucial part is that we wound up at Rudy's, where she ended up drinking too much and made people talk to the eagle on the Yuengling beer coaster.

That is pretty funny. It isn't Jake the Snake interviewing motorcycles, but I will take it.
