Mockumentaries and Parker news! :)

So I thought it might be important to announce the coming of a new Christopher Guest film set to open in November. I don't know if you've heard about it, but it is set to star most of the same ensemble cast (i.e. Joe's favorite Posey (and probably most people's favorite Posey--possibly the best Posey EVER though I don't really know any others--details). Anyway, the movie title is For Your Consideration, and from what I gather, is a mockumentary focusing around a group of people trying to make a film about birding and getting caught up in the prospect of an award. Here's a link: http://www.birderblog.com/post.php?id=1470 Blogger field trip anyone?? :)

Man, I still have yet to see "A Mighty Wind." Need to get caught up before this one comes out!

"A Mighty Wind" is definatley good and definately funny but it also has a much sadder, more nostalgic feel to it than the others. Joe, I'm not sure if you've seen this one or not, but if you have, do you agree? It seems like there is another level to this one that the others don't really try to attain...it's not QUITE as laugh out loud hilarious (though moments of it definatley are). I wonder how the new one will compare.

You know, I haven't seen a mighty wind and i would be surprised if I didn't end up seeing this one, although I am intrigued. Truth is that I don't get to see alot of movies anymore and I may have also moved beyond my Parker phase. These days I generally go and see what everyone else wants (i.e. snakes on a plane). I am not a picky movie goer.

I lost some respect for Parker after she was in Blade: Trinity. Actually, I lost respect for everyone who was a part of that debacle, except for maybe Triple H, because hey, wrestlers take what they can get in terms of movie roles.

I didn't even know she was in it. Just shows how much I am following her these days.

Anyway, speaking of wrestlers in movies, isn't the Rock in something more serious, where he is a coach or something?

Yeah, "Gridiron Gang." The Rock and Xzibit from "Pimp My Ride" are coaches of a football team they start at like juvenile hall or something. Looks very serious and heartwarming... just the kind of movie I skip. :D

LOL- I saw someone talking about the movie and they said, "If it's OK for the Rock to cry, then I can cry!" I am not sure if it is OK for the rock to cry.
