St. Patrick's Day-Continued

When it comes to social gatherings, much like Joe Dimaggio at the end of his career, it seems like it is getting harder and harder to relive my glory days. Last night however, I was in rare form.

After reading Keith's post about getting drunk and having fun on St. Patrick's day and re-reading my sad response, I decided that I was going to make last night a real good one.

Although there wasn't a lot of drinking, I decided to hold court, telling funny stories, both old and new and actually held the attention of a small crowd for a while. It was fun. I got to tell the stories of my baseball heckling days and we cracked jokes. I feel like I need more nights like that.

Anyway, I thought I would share. How was everyone else's St. Patty's Day?

That sounds cool! wish I had been there. My St. Patty's day was uneventful...met a friend for coffee in the evening (well, tea since I hate coffee) but that's about it...call it sad if you want, but I was ok with avoiding all the madness in downtown Boston. I told my brother it wasn't "my scene' and his response evoked an interesting thought...he said, Well, what is 'your scene.' ha...hadn't really thought about that...I think it just involves good friends together, good food, a few drinks and not excessive loudness and crowds...just an interesting question nobody had ever really asked me before... :)

This is a great message to get on a slow Monday morning. I'm so happy that
I inspired you to have a good time of epic proportions!

My St. Patrick's Day was pretty solid as well. I drank a lot, hung out
with fun people, and was actually in a pretty good bar where they not only
had an Irish folk band, but also had bagpipers who wandered into the bar
and played! Then later a DJ came and played hit songs to dance to. It was
great all around.

I like crowds as long as my friends are there with me too. I guess I just
like feeling like am where the party is. Like I like to have my choice of
bars legitimized by the fact that tons of other people also chose to go
there. :)

(Sorry for those last two comments; I had responded with them to you guys, but I figured they needed to be immortalized on the blog.)

I believe all things need to be immortalized on the blog, so no worry.
