Carlito
Carlito and John Cena have a match tonight for the WWE title. Cena is of course going to win and maintain his title, but Carlito's still in the match. And I've been noticing good things when I go with guys who at least definitely have a match, especially if it's a main event match, which this undoubtedly will be. This makes both of them easy choices for this week.
Chris Masters
Masters has been on lots of RAWs lately and wins every match he's in, so while he's not quite a no-brainer, he's a fairly safe bet. I mean, he'll lose eventually, but I'm guessing that it will not be until SummerSlam if that soon, and that's still a few weeks away.
Christian
I was going to pick Booker T (since they're somewhat feuding right now), but Christian was cheaper, and so gave me better options in terms of who else I could pick. Booker has had a lot of matches lately, maybe a bit more often than Christian, but like I said, the price difference dictated this pick. Also, to be un-scientific, it was either pick: Christian and Rosey/Hurricane, or Booker T and Rob Conway/Renee Dupree, and I like Rosey and Hurricane better. :) (Sorry if that actually doesn't make sense to you... I'll edit this later if I feel like explaining my pick.)
Eugene
Eugene won(!) Kurt Angle's Angle Invitational last week. I believe I explained this match before. Eugene, returning from injury, surprisingly won the match and was awarded one of Kurt Angle's gold medals. This week, he is holding his own "Eugene Invitational," which I'm sure he will win just like Angle used to. I thought about picking Angle, but he's expensive to pick in this situation, where he will probably not actually have a match, just interfere in one.
Heidenreich
Heidenreich and Animal, the tag champs, have been squashing random losers on SmackDown! lately, so it makes it good to pick up at least one of them. In any event, I expect the tag champs to show up SOMEWHERE, so it makes sense to pick at least half the team.
Joey Mercury
MNM aren't quite feuding with the champs to get their titles back as of yet. But this almost means better things for my fantasy team, since both teams (MNM, Heidenreich/Animal) have been having random squash matches, presumably to build them both up for when they meet again. Thus, they're both good choices. I was contemplating picking up all four, but a) I started running out of money, and b) what if one team doesn't have a match, then I wasted two picks and $6,000,000.
John Cena
See "Carlito" above.
Orlando Jordan
Jordan has been quietly retaining the U.S. Title for quite a while. Lately, he has been not-so-quietly one-upping Chris Benoit. So I expect him to show up, and probably wrestle, in some capacity. He's kind of my crap-shoot for the week.
Rosey
Rosey and Hurricane, the tag champs, had separate matches against Renee Dupree and Rob Conway last week. I thus expect them to wrestle again this week. I could have picked Conway or Dupree, and probably should have, since they're cheaper... however, I choice Christian over Booker T so I had the extra $500,000.
There you have it, The SentonBOMBS roster for week 8. I don't expect to have an amazing banner week like I did last week, but I'm hoping to nonetheless continue my hot streak.

Sounds like a good plan for the week. (Of course you could have picked an entire list of other players with the same or different rationale and I might make the same comment).
I was thinking though that I don't really know alot of the names that you mention, beyond what you have told me. Is this more a function of the salary cap, or is there really a new wave of wrestlers people care about?
On a slight tangent, do you think WWE might be judging player popularity to any degree based on how many people pick a particular player on a weekly basis?
1) True. I mean I could be saying anything. :D
2) Probably just new wrestlers. I mean, the only guys you'd really know who are wrestling now are maybe Kurt Angle, Hogan, Shawn Michaels... Triple H is on vacation... Rey Mysterio... that might be about it. There really are a lot of new guys, which I think is good for WWE.
3) I hope not, since it's more about who you think will win than who you actually like. You could completely disagree with their booking decisions, but yet you still have to play according to what you think they will be.
Speaking of not knowing wrestlers, there was a random match involving Tatanka... not sure if you remember him from back in the day.
Of course I rememebr Tanaka! I like random matches though, especially when they dredge up people. Also, I would say I know more guys than the few you mentioned. I would say I know maybe half the people you list each week.
Also, I know that you go into the fantasy thing, thinking objectively about the goal, but I cannot help but think some people are still more inclined to go with who they want to see, instead of who is most likley to be on. Just a thought...
As I look at the rosters for my league, I think you may be right. Though I also think that a lot of people just create their roster in the beginning and leave it, which is not really how the game is designed.
Haha, this week is gonna be a good one too.
I was flipping through the channels last night and passed Smackdown! and I thought of you.
I did pretty well last night. I guess we'll see at the end of the week, but it looks like I should have gone with Booker T/Rob Conway instead of Christian/Rosey.
Looks like I'm skipping week 9's analysis... probably be good to take a breather. :) I will say that I did okay on Monday but the majority of my roster wrestles on Thursday so we'll have to see. I mean, honestly, things aren't changing much in terms of the top rankings anymore. It's pretty much Bluth Company in 1st, me in 2nd, Hot Death in 3rd. I'm hoping to overtake Bluth Company by the end of the season, but he is over 100 points past me... that is going to be a real challenge.
