Joe Stands Up...

So, I know it has been a long time since I have initiated a post, but I had a funny story I wanted to share....

Cat and I were at the Supermarket this evening, waiting on a very long line. By a stroke of luck, the manager comes out and walks up to us and asks us to begin this new checkout line that he has opened. However, when it comes time to pay, things get difficult. As we have done for the past three years, we ask if they could split the bill between our two debit cards. Clearly, like many of the flunkies before him, this is too difficult and he excitedly says, "Oh, No! You can't do that!" Cat responds by quickly retorting, "Yes YOU CAN!" The manager then throws up his hands and says, "OK, tell me how?" So, I look over his panel and tell him, "Before I swipe my card, type in the amount I want to pay. Then you need to hit a button, although I am not sure which one." I then gave him a look, as if I was saying, "You should know which button, it is your cash register."

Anyway, I swipe my card and low and behold, it works! I was very nervous that I was going to look like a fool, but it worked out. I walked out chuckling that I was able to show the manager how to do his job. It was a proud moment in my domestic life.
