match.com

So I joined match.com last night, based on a recommendation from a friend of mine. Before long, the ladies are sure to be all up ons.

I tried that once for a while...good luck with it. :) Let me know your opinion of it, I'm kinda curious what you think of it. My eharmony subscription runs out at within the next couple of days. Can I just say how great it is to not have to contemplate renewing...not that I was really going to anyway but you know what I mean. :)

Do you know if you can still receive messages even if you haven't paid? Like, if I haven't paid to subscribe but I have a profile, can girls see it and e-mail me?

The reason I ask is that I have had some luck in the past with online dating sites, but the only girls I've gotten anywhere with, THEY were the ones who paid to send ME a message. So maybe I will wait for a bit if I can, and see if anyone bites.

I think, if I remember correctly that you can view proflies and pictures and all that but if you want to communicate, you need to pay..i think..i could be wrong.

Well, if I have a free moment this weekend I will set up a profile and see how it works. Unfortunately, I am at work and the moment and thus cannot do stuff like that.

Andrew Gorski (Yes, THE Andrew Gorski), did the 8 minute dating thing last week and he said it was very enjoyable. I have not heard that it translated into any dates yet, but he liked it much better than the internet.

Just food for thought.

I should probably try that. The problem is, most of them are in the city, and

a) I don't really want to meet a girl I have to travel to the city for, and

b) City girls are high maintenance.
