So, last weekend I went out to this bar with about 10 friends from work...its a piano bar with dueling pianos and they take requests and everyone sings and dances and everything. It's a lot of fun. Anyway, by the end of the night (after about 6 hours of being there which felt like no time at all, really) a couple of my friends noticed that this guy was apparently watching me the whole night. I, of course, was oblivious to this. But they kind of spun me around so that we ended up dancing together and then we talked for a while and exchanged phone numbers. He called me last tuesday and we went out on a date last night. We went to a movie (Hitch, which was a really fun movie) and to dinner in the North End (the equivialnt of NY's Little Italy.) It was really a great time. He insisted on paying for everything and even bought me roses on the street from this guy who was selling them...it was the sweetest thing...no guy has ever bought me flowers before (well...except for you you both brought me flowers for my play, which I have not forgotten, but you know what I mean... :) So anyway, I don't know if anything will definitley come of it, but its only been one date so I guess that's ok not to know yet. :) I would definitley like to see him again. Anyway, I just wanted to share my wonderful night! :)

Good Job Jess! It sounds awesome. I hope it works out.
I must confess however, that it sounds even better once I got half way through the post and realized it wasn't Keith who was at a bar for 6 hours and some guy was looking at him.
Haha, nice.
I had a great weekend too, and luckily for me it did not involve getting picked up by guys at piano bars. :D
Last night, I went out with Audrey, Sheila, three other friends, and my brother in the city for my belated birthday. We went to McSorley's Old Ale House in the village, which is a great bar that I now highly recommend. Kind of gimmicky -- they only have two beers, which they brew themself, and no other alcohol, and when you order they give you two mugs of beer at a time. But it was just great; no frills really, we got a big table and all just drank up and had a blast. It was supposed to be a bigger group, but luckily all the people (except you guys of course!) who really matter to me were there, and that in the end was all that mattered.
I am glad you had fun! Sometimes the smaller crowds work out very well.
Speaking of reuniting with old friends, has anyone read the quarterly lately? Howcome our class never has any notes?
I have noticed that actually...maybe someone needs to email Jess Federman--I mean Strom. :) Guess we had a very lackadasical class...
