To blog or not to blog

I have actually always wanted to set up a blog, but felt it was too pretentious. Kind of a situation of "Look at me; my deepest, most random thoughts are so important that everyone on the internet needs to read and revel in them." When we all know that the only blogs anyone reads other than their friends' are the ones that accompany risque webcams. :)

But this is better, because it's more of a conversation within the group that others can choose to read if they so desire. And besides, our collective random thoughts ARE so important that everyone on the internet needs to read and revel in them.

Keith-

I agree. Our thoughts are important Damn It!

The world needs to know what is going right now in my tiny cubicle that sits in my tiny office.

Here's a good story that might argue that maybe my work existence, at the very least, may not be so relavent.

A co-worker walked by my office and says, "hey they took down the large partition between the two cubicles." I respond by saying, "Yes, you come by everyday and they took it down weeks ago. Do you even look in my direction?" She looks semi-ashamed. Trying to change the subject, she asks, "What happened to your fish?" I say, "He died... in October."

We have since laughed this incident off, but I think there is a deeper meaning.

I think that that is more a sign that people just aren't observant anymore. If it doesn't directly involve their life, they don't even care to notice it.

Hmm...I tend to think they aren't observant even if it does involve their own life...maybe some for some, ESPECIALLY if it involves their own lives...just a thought for contemplation. :) Regardless (or irregardless as Jean would say :) its a great story...especially since I can hear you telling it in my head..makes it better... :) (if this publishes twice I appologize...I tried once and it didn't go through).
